Anxiety

Therapy

While most people experience some degree of worry at different times in life, those with anxiety experience a level of worry, panic, and/or stress that is outside of what would be considered normal. Anxiety is a big part of their life and interferes with some—if not all—area of their lives. It can mean constant worry about expectations and responsibilities at work that causes you to feel frequent panic or that causes difficulty concentrating or sick days more often than desired. Or maybe it makes it difficult to have meaningful relationships with others or makes it difficult to set healthy boundaries. In marriage, it can cause difficulty navigating the needs your anxiety presents while you and your spouse also address other mental; emotional, social, spiritual, and physical needs; and the responsibilities of parenting can be overwhelming. Anxiety affects many other areas of life as well, such as difficulty with adjusting to college or high school, low self esteem, strained family relationships, and much more.

When anxiety becomes overwhelming and negatively impacts your daily life, it can feel debilitating. Fortunately, there is help available if you are struggling with anxiety. With talk therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques, I’ve spent over 10 years helping many people find peace and the ability to manage their anxiety in the healthiest way possible. I can provide a safe space that allows you to process the situations, thoughts, and behaviors that trigger and impact your anxiety daily so we can find a way to stop the spiral that anxiety causes. We can also discuss calming and relaxation strategies that you can use at times of anxiety or panic.

Even though anxiety can be overwhelming, there is help that can give you more peace and joy in your daily life. Contact me at 601-708-9558 if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
